Philip Werthman, MD, MMH
Dr. Philip Werthman is a globally recognized microsurgeon, men’s health and longevity specialist, biotech investor, military historian, and philanthropist. He serves as Founder and President of Merkava Holdings, Chairman of Rithem Life Sciences, and formerly chaired the Scientific Advisory Board of GT Biopharma (NASDAQ: GTBP). He is an advisor to many companies spanning biotech, aerospace & defense, and pharmaceuticals.
Dr. Werthman is actively engaged in philanthropy and global initiatives. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Genesis Prize Foundation and on the boards of the Simms/Mann Institute and Think Tank, supporting global diplomatic, humanitarian, and scientific efforts.
He holds degrees in Neuropsychology, Medicine, Military History, and graduated from Harvard Medical School with a certificate in AI for Healthcare. As valedictorian of his medical school class, he conducted award-winning early research in gene therapy pioneering the use of adenoviral vectors for urologic oncology at UCLA’s Liver Transplant Laboratory.
